The Elton John AIDS Foundation partnered with Grey Goose on Sunday night for the third consecutive year to host the most glamorous social event of the season raising £550,000 for the charity. The event was hosted by Sir Elton John and David Furnish
This unforgettable night of style and character featured a star studded collection of celebrity and social guests including: Elizabeth Hurley and her husband Arun Nayar, Sam Taylor-Wood and her fiancée Aaron Johnson, Patrick Cox, Arki Busson, Tracey Emin, Theo Fennell, Sophie Ellis Bextor, Kevin Spacey, The Saturdays, Daniel Merriweather, Ozwald Boateng, Richard E Grant, Mr Hudson, Guy Pelly, Imogen Lloyd Webber, Sharlene Spiteri and Ian Somerhalder of hit TV series Lost.
For one night only the Great Room of Grosvenor House was transformed into the Grey Goose Hotel du Palais, showcasing the timeless glamour of Biarritz and the Atlantic coast during its heyday. Guests sipped bespoke Grey Goose cocktails created by three of the world's greatest talents from the bar world including international cocktail legend Dale DeGroff of New York's famous Rainbow Room, drinks expert Tony Conigliaro and award-winning bar entrepreneur Mal Evans to accompany the astounding character bar creations designed by chanteuse Lily Allen, couturier Roland Mouret and actress supermodel Lily Cole. These bars were auctioned in benefit of the Elton John AIDS Foundation on the night.
Roland Mouret unveiled his bespoke Grey Goose cocktail dress designed as a one off piece for the evening's auction, which was spectacularly modelled by Amber Le Bon, daughter of supermodel mother Yasmin Le Bon.
After the dinner and auction, at the personal request of Sir Elton John, Grammy-award winner Kelly Rowland performed a dazzling 45-minute set including her number one hit 'When Love takes over'.
Previous years have seen wild and wonderful bar creations designed for Grey Goose Character & Cocktails, including a re-designed ice cream-van-come-bar and a Vegas inspired bar installation complete with mermaid, from David Furnish, Elizabeth Hurley with Patrick Cox, Sam Taylor-Wood, Dinos Chapman, Christopher Bailey, Theo Fennell, Gavin Turk, Giles Deacon and Eva Herzigova. These bars have been auctioned each year in benefit of the Elton John AIDS Foundation. In addition to bars, each celebrity is invited to design a bespoke cocktail to accompany their bar in association with some of the UK's leading mixologists.
