Dear Supporter

I’d like to share with you some recent successes at EJAF….

Firstly, our support of a fleet of motorcycles for healthworkers in Lesotho, enabling them to reach more patients and treat them effectively has increased productivity fourfold since the project launched in 2008. This work, which shows our commitment to new ways of fighting HIV, features on our Project Film this month.

In Cambodia, the ‘Linked Response’ programme aiming to wipe out transmission of the HIV virus from pregnant women to their unborn children, has now been adopted nationally as the government’s way to address this problem.

The Madwaleni Treatment Programme in South Africa has been hailed as a highly cost effective way of reaching and treating large numbers of adults and children with HIV in a very poor and challenging province of the country. The programme was celebrated at a reception at 10 Downing Street last month.

As ever, this work would not be possible without your support. I hope you feel, as I do, that EJAF is putting your funds to effective, life changing use.
