Elton Featured in World AIDS Day Edition of Boyz Magazine

30 November 2010

London, UK

Iconic London gay magazine Boyz featured Elton on the cover of their recent World AIDS Day special, as well as in depth interviews with the star and fellow pop idol Annie Lennox.

Elton comments on the current blasé feeling towards HIV in the gay community in contrast to the sense of danger at beginning of the pandemic in the 80s.  He speaks on a variety of topics and highlights the work of his Foundation through his recent partnership with Annie’s charity, SING, to build a community centre in Vrygrond outside of Cape Town.

Annie tells of her own experience of HIV in the UK and Africa, the trip with Elton to visit the completed community centre and speaks highly of EJAF’s work saying “Everywhere you go in Africa, you’ll find something to do with Elton John AIDS Foundation. He is a world champion.”

The special World AIDS Day edition of Boyz is available now though bars and clubs or online at
